Complementary Therapists > Irish Therapists > Dublin Therapists > Linda Keogh Foundation of Integrative Medicine![]() INVITATION FOR THERAPISTSThe Foundation of Integrative Medicine is a non-profit charitable organisation working to promote awareness about the profound influence of the mind/body/spirit inter-relationship on health & wellbeing. Our organisation was founded in honour of my Dad, Moss Keane, who passed away last year. Dad was a huge advocate of complementary therapies. During his illness we witnessed firsthand the phenomenal strength and wellness he had due to the holistic approach he used around his conventional treatment, but we didn't fully understand the different therapies, and it was more a case of clutching at straws. I have been on a phenomenal journey since Dad passed away, I'm continuing to gain a much deeper understanding of health and I really want everyone to have access to all of the information I've learned. My biggest wish when Dad died was that we knew at the beginning all that we knew at the end. My colleague Natalia is an acupuncturist, Reiki Healer and Access Consciousness practitioner - the two of us our working together on this initiative for the last ten months. We presently organise 'Healthy Days' which are an opportunity for the public to learn about, and experience, a wide varIET®y of therapies, serving to raise awareness about our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects. The Foundation of Integrative Medicine is putting out an open invitation for therapists / health experts to get involved in our next 'Healthy Day' in Killenard, Co. Laois on the 12th November. The therapies begin at 11am, everyone breaks for lunch at 1pm, and therapies resume 2pm - 5.30pm. Therapists that wish to be involved work on a voluntary basis as we are a charitable organisation. We ask therapists to commit to providing between 5 - 7 treatments (30mins.) OR 3-5 treatments (1hr each), spread over the course of the day, {this is a guideline request for organisational purposes, really we are grateful for any contribution at all, so whatever you can offer will be welcomed}. Therapists will be provided with their own private treatment area and they are encouraged to bring their own promotional materials and stands. It is a wonderful opportunity to promote their area of expertise - as individuals travel from all over the country, as well as the immediate locality. It is also a great chance to network with other therapists, try different treatments and enjoy lovely food and some of the talks/workshops. We are especially interested in having therapists that specialise in the following areas:
We are hoping to have at least 30 therapists involved on the day and are expecting about 100 attendees. We charge €25 entry to the public, this includes full lunch & snacks, workshops, talks & entertainment for the day and one/two treatments. The money raised used to cover the costs of running the event, and anything remaining goes to The Foundation - you can read about our main aims on our Facebook page (integrative medicine). Essentially we want the public to know about all of the available therapies out there, and give them a better understanding of the levels they work on, helping them to put together their own integrated health care plan. The core aim of our organisation is to get the most recent, reputable, unbiased information together and present it in an easy-to-use website/ printed materials. We are so lucky to have wonderful people on board supporting us - and these 'Healthy Days' are a great way of getting the word out there. It would be brilliant to work with you, and we would appreciate any advice or help that you have to offer! If you are interested to find out more & get involved with us, please email us before the end of next week. integrativemedicineireland@gmail.com Medical
