Bernadette McLeavey
Based in Navan and
in Enfield in County Meath, Bernadette McLeavey provides professional
counselling and psychotherapy for individual adults and adolescents,
from a Humanistic perspective. Bernadette is also a member of the
Watercolour SocIET®y of Ireland.
As well as therapy
through conversation, she also offers Art Therapy and Sand Therapy
to clients who wish to avail of those means of communication.
Counsellor Background and Approach
to Psychotherapy
Bernadette received
a Masters Degree in Art Therapy from The George Washington University,
Washington, DC, USA. She is an accredited member of the Irish Association
of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy, of the Irish Association
of Creative Arts Therapists and of the Irish Council for Psychotherapy.
Bernadette is also a qualified Sand Therapist.
In the course of
her work as a therapist in private practice for thirty years, Bernadette's
clients have come from a wide varIET®y of backgrounds, beliefs and
life situations. Concerns explored in therapy include relationship
issues, eating disorders, loss and bereavement, experience of depression
or trauma, as well as work-related difficulties and goals.
Bernadette's work
is based on the humanistic value of respect for the client as a
unique individual who has the potential to find healing and to grow
towards his or her true potential.
