Barefoot
Shiatsu
In amma,
an old type of Chinese massage that was incorporated into Shiatsu,
the therapy practitioner could use different parts of the body other than
the hands to apply pressure - using knees and even feet. For example,
when treating the back the practitioner could stand on the patient's sacrum
and use the other foot to massage the side of the spine and shoulderblades.
In the West by bone setters use similar techniques.
