Bee Venom Therapy

Medicated bee venom therapy was developed by an Austrian family and is practised now almost uniquely by Julia Owen. Owen was is a descendant of the creators of the treatment. She has treated many different types of conditions including arthritis, asthma, eczema, deafness and blindness.

The bees are fed selected medicaments and are pinched behind the head and then placed on the patient's skin. The bee then stings the patient and then it dies. In common with other alternative therapies bee venom therapy is only effective after other forms of medication have been eliminated from the body. If this hasn't happened then there may be an initial adverse reaction.
