Biosynthesis is a form of bodywork that is founded on bioenergetics and Reichian therapy however it places greater emphasis on the spiritual dimension. The main concept in biosynthesis is that there are three fundamental energetic currents or lifestreams that flow through the body that are associated with the cellular germ-layers (ectoderm, endoderm and mesoderm) in the fertilised egg from which the distinctive organ systems are formed.
These streams express themselves as a current of movement through the muscle pathways; a flow of perceptions, thoughts and images through the neuro-sensory system; and a flow of emotional life in the core of the body through the deep organs of the torso. Stress before birth or during infancy as well as in later life breaks up the integration of the three streams. In biosynthesis the therapeutic reintegration works with breath-release and emotional balancing.
