Reiki Clontarf Dublin 3 - Caitriona Doyle![]() I have been a Holistic Therapist for fifteen years and have practised Reiki for thirteen of those. My introduction to Reiki was through a friend. I had a pain in my shoulder and she offered Reiki to help relieve it. I felt heat and a sensation meandering down inside my arm. This movement of something invisible inside intrigued me and I wanted to know more about it. Over the next three years I took the three levels of Reiki and have used it every day since. I have an ITEC Diploma in Holistic Massage and Anatomy & Physiology, Indian Head Massage and a Certificate in Counselling Skills from Maynooth. I have also completed the independent module, The Reiki Practitioner Module, which for Reiki Federation Ireland Practitioners is now necessary to work professionally with Reiki. I am also a Reiki Teacher for the last ten years, having taught Reiki for five of those in Walmer College. I was also a therapist there for twelve years. I now work from Clontarf in Dublin 3 and teach Reiki from Clontarf Castle also in Dublin 3....
What is Reiki?![]() Reiki is two things it is a Spiritual Practice and it is also a Physical Practice. Mikao Usui was the founder of this practice in Japan in 1922. Put simply, Reiki is the transfer of energy from one human being to another. It is inherent and instinctive in all of us. I frequently hear people say that they feel heat in their hands even though they dont practice Reiki. I notice my daughter when she has a pain in her stomach automatically place her hands on to soothe it. Don't most of us do the same thing if we have a headache, toothache, muscle pain or in fact a pain anywhere in our body? We place our hands on to ease it....
Benefits of ReikiReiki provides many benefits and can successfully treat a wide varIET®y of ailments and conditions. Reiki can help in the following ways:
Reiki in Health![]() Reiki doesn't treat illness. It helps create balance within the system helping you to maintain healthy functioning. Ive learnt through clients who have been given a chronic illness diagnosis the shock it is to their system. So healing is necessary in more ways than one. Obviously they need medical intervention to heal their illness. They also need time to come to terms with the shock of their diagnosis. They need something that will help balance the side effects of medications and the medical procedure (pain, nausea, fatigue). They also need kindness and to feel loved. Reiki does a wonderful job in providing quIET®, steady support while they are going through this. By totally relaxing their body and mind it creates the environment for the bodys own natural healing to take over while also calming the nerves and the emotions associated with the shock of their illness....
Reiki Treatments![]() You can experience Reiki two ways. Have a treatment from a Reiki Practitioner, or take a class in Reiki level 1 where your teacher will link you directly to the energy. You can then give Reiki to yourself every day. If you go to a Reiki Practitioner it should be a pleasant experience. The treatment room will be warm and comfortable and you will lie on a plinth on your back fully clothed. You'll probably take your shoes off just to feel comfy....
