Art Therapy is based on the belief that the visual image is often a more powerful means of apprehending reality and of expressing it, than what might be described by words alone. Considering together what has been formed in clay or portrayed with colours, both client and therapist can grow in awareness and understanding of what is important to the client. ![]() No previous experience of art-making is necessary for participation in Art Therapy. Any initial reservations about art or sand-tray work that clients may have, tend to be replaced by an experience of wonder and creativity as they explore their own imagery and symbolism. Bernadette's clients may choose talking therapy alone, or they may combine conversational therapy with art or sand therapy. Contact Details for Meath Counsellor & Psychotherapist Bernadette McLeavey
