This is a Gathering Session a chance to connect with each other as we set out on our Healing Journey together. As all of us in some form or other deal with and belong to some kind of group we will take some time at looking at the dynamics of group and how a group works. We will also in this first session introduce each participant to the wisdom of Reiki. As the Chakra system is our pathway in this course this will also be an opportunity to explore and get to know the Chakras. We will also explore the Aura system and the energy life force that resides in each of us.

In Session 2 we will explore the 1st Chakra or Base Chakra (Colour Red). This is the seat of our power. Issues such as our place in the world, our boundaries or lack of them and our original connection with our father figure will be looked at. Our relationship with money also is influenced by this Chakra.

We will explore the whole area of stress, the difference between wants and needs and are sense of awareness / awakeness.

Finally we will look at the work of Professor Eric Erikson and his famous 'Stages of Development - a developmental profile of the human story showing at each stage of our life where issues can arise in our journey towards wholeness.

Session 3

Sat & Sun 10/11th November 2012 (9:30am to 5:00pm)

• Sacral Chakra - 2nd ORANGE
• Psychology of Family of Origin
• What do we mean by Internalised Oppression
• Psychodynamics - Notice our patterns

In the 3rd Session we will explore the 2nd Charka or Sacral Charka (Colour Orange). This is our emotional centre; it is also the seat of our sexuality and creativity. In this session we will look at the relationship with our mother and how our mother has influenced our lives. This session will also review our relationships good and bad and look at the area of co-dependency.

All of us are part of or have been part of some form of 'family' unit. In this session using the work of Dr Murray Bowan we will look at our 'Family of Origin' - where did I as a member of a family reside, was I the peace maker, the rebel, was I connected or disconnected to my family. How have the rules and roles of my family influenced the way I see and act in the world?

Session 4

Sat & Sun 8th/9th December 2012 (9:30am to 5:00pm)

• Solar Plexus Chakra - 3rd YELLOW
• The Impact of Loss (Psychology)

Session 4 will introduce us to the 'Solar Plexus Chakra or 3rd Chakra Colour Yellow. This is the seat of our personal power it is also known as the intellectual Chakra. Issues associated with this Chakra include power struggles, and how we deal or don't deal appropriately with Authority. What does Authority mean for us as individuals?

In this session we will also explore the profound experience that is 'loss & bereavement.. The impact of bereavement and how the human person can come to terms with loss. We will gently explore ways to help us to grow through the experience.

We will also explore the other types of loss such as intra - psychic - loss of job, loss of role etc.

How do spiritual beliefs make sense of loss / death?

Session 5

Sat & Sun 26th/27th January 2013 (9:30am to 5:00pm)

Session 5 is devoted to the training of the spiritual practice and training in Reiki and the teachings of Dr Mikao Usui.

• What is the Endocrine System - How this system regulates our bodies
• Reiki Hand Positions
• Reiki Guidelines & Ethics
• When we can use Reiki
• Reiki Practice & Useful Information

This weekend will be devoted to the learning of the spiritual practice and the how Reiki can be used holistically in the whole arena of healing.

Session 6

Sat & Sun 23rd/24th February 2013 (9:30am to 5:00pm)

• Heart Chakra / 4th Chakra - Green Pink
• Issue of Abuse - Sexual / Emotional - Indicators (Psychology)

In our 6th Session together we will look at the 4th Chakra or 'Heart Chakra: Colour Green.

This Chakra will look at how we love ourselves or don't as the case maybe. How we love others.

We will explore the impact of past hurts and blocks - those aspects of our experience which prevent us from living fully. How we can let the past define our present and our future.

In this session we will also look at the whole area of abuse - sexual and emotional.

What are the signs or indications for abuse?

What does some of the current literature have to offer in this sensitive area?

How can the heart heal from abuse?

Session 7

Sat & Sun 23rd/24th March 2013 (9:30am to 5:00pm)

• Regression - Birth Script & Life Script 1 (Psychology)
  

In our 7th Session together we will look at the 5th Chakra or 'Expression Chakra. Colour Blue. This Chakra is the seat of our expression how we speak to the world. How we express or don't express our needs etc. It is also the space of responsibility in that we can choose how we can respond to the moving events of our lives. Do we have powerful expression or has it been crushed where we have had to swallow what we need to say?

Birth is the sacred moment of our entry into the world in this session we will look at:

• How are birth journey can influence our life journey
• An introduction to the power of 'Regression Therapy'
• The sacred nature of birth & how we can heal the birth to heal the Earth

Session 8

Sat & Sun 27th/28th April 2013 (9:30am to 5:00pm)

• Third Eye Chakra 6th PURPLE
• Regression - Birth Script & Life Script 2 (Psychology)
• Conflict / PTSD

In Session 8 we come to explore the 6th Chakra or the 'Third Eye' Chakra Colour Purple. This Chakra is also known as the Intuition Chakra. This is where we can begin to listen to ourselves to our bodies. We can learn to listen in a deeper sense hear what is not being said as much as what is being said. We will have an opportunity to explore our psychic abilities.

We will also continue our look at the notion of our birth script and the influence of the story of our birth has had on our own life experience. Participants if they so wish can in the supportive and sacred space of the group re-experience some of their birth process. We will draw on the work of Dr Frank Lake MD.

How can the understanding of Pre & Peri-natal psychotherapy contribute the healing of lives, peoples and the planet?

We will also briefly touch on the area of conflict resolution at both personal & national level

Session 9

Sat & Sun 25th/26th May 2013 (9:30am to 5:00pm)

In Session 9 we look at the Crown Chakra - Colour White / Gold.

This is the seat of the Spiritual - we will learn that the journey towards the spiritual is very much rooted in the proceeding chakras and that healthy spirituality is determined by a healthy connection between Body Mind & Spirit.

We will look at the relationship between psychology and spirituality where does one stop and where does the other begin? Or are both part of the same story - the human story. We will look the great religions and spiritual traditions of the world.

We look more closely at another form of 'Hands on Healing' namely Chelation. Similar to Reiki Chelation also draws on the ancient wisdom of the Chakra system however the way of delivering Chelation is slightly different. This is another healing skill that we can offer each participant.

This session will also look at body symbology and the relationship between physical and emotional well-being. We will look at 'how our body speaks our mind'.

We will learn the skills of being able to observe these relationships so that we are better placed to help those to whom we extend care. This session will also look at the basic elements of Anatomy & Physiology.

A key element for physical and emotional well-being is the area of self esteem. We will explore in this session how good or bad is our self esteem. How have we let others impact or devalue our sense of self esteem?

We will look at the relationship between the psychosexual/social/spiritual and the necessity for these dynamics to be in harmony with one another.

Session 10

Sat & Sun 15th/16th June 2013 (9:30am to 5:00pm)

In Session 10 our closing session we will continue to further experience Chelation or Hands on Healing'. This will be an opportunity to look back at our time together and to pull the course to a conclusion.

We will also look at the power of ritual and this session will include a closing ritual ceremony as this group begins to take its leave of each other.

There will also be an opportunity to share resources for further study / personal exploration and last but not least a celebration and party to bring our sacred time together to a conclusion.
